Celebrate Independent Bookstore Day with The Voracious Reader! Special tote bags designed for the day by Roz Chast will be available. With every purchase, we’ll be giving away posters, buttons, and other prizes. We’ll also have free advanced review copies available with purchases over $10.
Children’s Book Week/Pat the Bunny Week of May 3rd-9th
All week long, we’ll be hosting special story times and giving away free tote bags and posters with every purchase (while supplies last). On Saturday, May 9th between the hours of 11 and 3pm we’ll celebrate the 75th anniversary of the groundbreaking book Pat the Bunny with an exciting surprise guest!
Former Army Captain Luis Montalvan & Tuesday Wednesday, May 13th 6:30 p.m.
Former Army Captain Luis Carlos Montalvan and his service dog, Tuesday, will visit with us to talk about how they work together to manage the challenges Capt. Montalvan faces living with PTSD. Copies of Captain Montalvan’s children’s book, “Tuesday Tucks Me In: The Loyal Bond Between a Soldier and His Service Dog,” will be available for purchase as well ashis NY Times bestselling book for adults, “Until Tuesday.” A portion of sales will be donated to Educated Canines Assisting with Disabilities.
